If you check printability of Netscape with the special URL
"about:", then you fail. Netscape browser can handle ©(R)
, ®(C) and some, but he put it with JIS X 0212
characters(may known as supplemental Kanji
characters). Ghostscript (include ja-*) can't handle JIS X 0212,
so gs complain like
> Error: /rangecheck in --%op_show_continue-- ...

 Off cource it happens with any page which includes © or
®, so I made a script that convert JIS X 0212 (R) -> Latin-1 (R)
or other characters. The script can find from
fj.comp.lang.postscript(I forget detail, sorry. I don't have any
printers now).

 You know, althought the script help you, Netscape browser's
printablity is very poor. It can't change font size or nup
pages, and many funcy functions are lacking, but it is not
imsufferable for me :-)

 Netscape browser can print out japanese pages.
