Subject: snmp daemon for FreeBSD available

For those that are interested in an snmpd package that will
compile, install and run under FreeBSD, there is a package called
ucd-snmp available, that, with a relatively large patch created by
Gary Palmer (most of it) and myself (preliminary, get it to compile
under FreeBSD stuff)...works.

To get the base distribution:

	ftp.ece.ucdavis.edu:/pub/snmp/ucd-snmp.tar.gz

Patch file:

	ftp.ki.net:/pub/users/scrappy/ucd-snmp.3.1-diffs.gz

NOTE: these patches have been submitted to the developer, and he has
stated that they should be incorporated into the next official
      releaes.

I'm going to work on getting a ports-package created for it
over the next week or so, making installing it a little cleaner and
central...
